Cherry Creek State Park

An 880-acre reservoir and park in Aurora, Colorado which is consists of a natural prairie and wetland environment. It has been shared by powerboats, paddle craft, and sailboats. The Cherry Creek Park is a large imported sand swim beach that is situated on the north-eastern part along the north-western shore. This Park has 19-kilometer paved roads and 56 kilometers of multi-use trails that can be accessible by runners, horseback riders, and cyclists. The facilities in the park can be used for camping, picnicking, radio-controlled aircraft, as well as the chance of bird watching, fishing, and country skiing.   • Expect longer queues due to the park’s popularity
  • A fishing license must be presented when fishing in the park.
  • Paddleboards, jet skis, and kayak boats can be used in the park.
  • Group size should be limited up to 10 or less. There are small individual dispersed grills that are accessible throughout the park.
  • Bring your own supply of hand sanitizers or water just in case running water won’t be available.
  • The shorelines, trails, boat ramps, and marinas remain open to the public.
